Got a call with a recorded female voice saying my internet would be cut off right away because of some fraud linked to my IP. Then it told me to press 1 to speak to a tech. Just hung up and blocked the number.

This number kept ringing my elderly folks, and from what we gathered, the caller didn’t seem to know who they were actually speaking to - they kept saying “madam” instead of using my mum’s actual name. They said they wanted to help improve the Sky broadband speed, which might have sounded legit. But they were really pushy, trying nonstop to get into my dad’s laptop. Luckily, mum’s rubbish with computers stopped them! Then some “supervisor” came on and insisted it had to be sorted that day, or mum would face a penalty. Bit dodgy if you ask me.
