The phone rings super quick, like 3 or 4 secs, then just drops, leaving a missed call. I always check numbers online before I think about calling back, and almost all times, I don’t bother cos it’s usually a scam from this place where they pretend to do vaccine surveys. That’s a massive red flag for me. Loads of these calls seem to come from India, even though it looks like they’re calling from here in the UK. They use servers here to make it look legit but it’s all just a trick to get info and pull off a fraud. I just block those numbers straight away.

Got a call from this dodgy number for the first time on Friday, they said they were from some Credit Investigation Department but the call was from a different number ending 454. Yesterday, they rang again from this spoofed number but hung up after just 44 seconds. Definitely a scam, don't bother answering!

I get calls that ring for just a few seconds and then hang up, leaving a missed call. I always look up the number before thinking about returning it, and almost always decide not to call back because this site shows it’s usually some scam. A lot of times it’s about fake vaccination surveys. Just knowing that is enough for me to block it. I reckon these calls mostly come from India, like many other scams do, but they use UK servers to make it seem like they’re local. They’re really just fishing for info to pull off fraud.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from Citizens Health or a similar name, asking for me by my full name. She said they were verifying vaccination records and asked if I’d had my jabs. I told her I wasn’t sure why she was calling me. Then she repeated the entire spiel again, word for word. When I asked why they needed to know that, she just abruptly ended the call. If this was genuine, I reckon she’d have given me more details instead of just hanging up. Not sure what they’re up to, but it definitely felt off.

A man with a heavy Indian accent rang me claiming to be from the health and social care department. He told me he had access to my medical records and started quizzing me about the covid jab and if I experienced any side effects. Then, he mentioned seeing that I had health insurance listed, which I found odd as I don’t have any. When I questioned this, he said he'd correct the info and swiftly ended the call. I gave him some silly answers just for laughs. Honestly, I have no clue what they hoped to achieve with that call.
