I used to be employed at Amazon, and it's been over a year since I was supposed to get my referral bonus, but nothing has come through yet. I gave up on it long ago. Then, out of nowhere, someone rang me claiming to be from Amazon. They knew loads about me - like when I started and left the job - and they asked for my bank info to supposedly sort out the payment. That sounded fishy to me, especially since Amazon already has my bank details on file. For me, it was a clear scam attempt.
