I received a phone call earlier today from a chap who had the audacity to use my name. He claimed to be from a legal firm, something that began with 'Rand A'. When I inquired whether I ever gave my consent for such a call, he insisted that I had. Utter nonsense! I never sign up for these sorts of things and make it a point to opt out. It’s absolutely maddening. Can someone please put a stop to these relentless calls?

These accident claim people are proper dodgy, always ringing up bothering you.

A woman rang me today just before noon, knowing my full name. She claimed that I was involved in a car accident resulting in a split claim, which turned out to be accurate. However, she inquired why I hadn’t lodged a claim for the supposed £350 worth of damage to my vehicle. I was taken aback, as I hadn’t made any such claim with my insurance company. The incident she mentioned seemed to pertain to an event from last year when I merely reversed and trod on someone's foot. When I pressed her for the date of this alleged accident, she informed me that due to "client confidentiality", she was unable to disclose that information. I politely ended the call, using some choice language, and disconnected.

Received a call on my mobile on the 23rd of October, 2015, at half-past nine in the morning. The number has been blocked by Tesco, my service provider. It’s incredibly irritating dealing with these persistent nuisance calls.
