Got two calls today about a supposed £600 payment sent abroad. Both came from “Visa Secure” but showed different numbers when I checked via ‘1471’. Since these numbers are provided by the phone company, surely they should be responsible if fraud happens through them. As far as I know, there’s no proper system here in the UK to report these numbers to any Communications Authority who’d then act quickly - within a day or so - to identify and BLOCK such numbers, or else the phone provider faces fines for every scam call made. It’s just not right!

I got a call on my home phone from 01327330190, and some woman said there was a £600 charge on my credit card (M). I wasn’t really paying much attention after that and just hung up. This wasn’t the first time I’d had a ring from that number either.
