The moment I picked up, they just ended the call straight away. I've blocked the number now. It's so frustrating that these scammers get away with bothering people like this, and even scarier thinking they might have access to our personal info. This is definitely illegal and I’m planning to report it to the proper authorities.

About quarter of an hour ago, I got a call from 01351697438 saying there was an unauthorised £600 withdrawal from my bank. They told me to press 1 to fix the problem.

Not sure who it was, the phone didn’t display any info. It kept ringing a few times, sounded like some kind of automated call. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now. Since the calls have stopped, I’m guessing the number was legit.

Some bloke called himself Kyle and claimed it was a courtesy call about energy savings. He said he worked for some agency partnered with the government. When I asked if he was actually from a private firm, he dodged the question and just repeated that the agency was cooperating with the government. I then said, so you're basically a private company, right? He hung up straight away. Seems like they never want to be straightforward, just keep throwing questions back at you.

I got a call where the person didn’t say a word and just ended the call straight away.

My answering machine didn’t get any message even though it rang, so I’m guessing it was one of those scam calls.

Got a call from someone saying they wanted to see if I qualified for some energy saving grants. I told them straight up that it sounded like a scam and ended the call. She kept insisting she wasn’t trying to sell me anything but I’m pretty sure that was just to keep me on the line.

She was nice enough, but I'd made the mistake of showing interest to a similar company over a year ago and they kept hassling me for ages even after I told them to stop. Because of that, I just cut the call short before she could ask anything.
