About a month back, I got a call like this. Since I’ve never actually subscribed to Amazon Prime, I instantly knew it was one of those scams.

Got a call claiming to be from Amazon - total scam! Legit companies you’ve got accounts with always say your name, this one didn’t which was a major red flag. They also usually share a bit of info like the last four digits of your account number or something so you know it’s legit. If you do end up hanging up to ring back, double check you hear the dial tone before calling again; that way you know the dodgy caller’s cut off.
