I received a call from a certain number early in the morning, precisely at 7:50 am. The caller had an accent but spoke good English, claiming to be a person named Alec who called about windows, specifically regarding my computer. In response, I firmly told him to go away and abruptly ended the call. These individuals are nothing more than deceitful scammers who prey on people unaware that Microsoft windows does not make contact like this. The best course of action is to simply hang up on them, as they aim to manipulate people into giving them control over their computers and their personal information. It is important to remember that official channels never call you to discuss computer faults or viruses; these fraudulent individuals are the only ones who engage in such activities. Please stay vigilant as the world can be cruel and unkind.

On the morning of September 22nd, 2014, my phone rang at 9.30am. I could hear faint noises in the background, followed by laughter. Then, there was a call from an Indian individual who was unable to speak clearly due to their laughter. They attempted to introduce themselves but could not compose their words properly. I firmly and loudly informed them that if they couldn't communicate with me in a civilized manner, I wouldn't engage in conversation with them. Consequently, I promptly ended the call. As far as I'm aware, this is the first occasion on which I have received a call from this particular phone number. Should it happen again, my intention is to blow a whistle in response.

Who is this guy of Asian descent? He keeps calling me at home in the morning and then at work in the afternoon pretending to be from Microsoft, claiming he can fix my computer. It's really starting to annoy me. Please do something about it and can I report him to the police?

I received a call from a peculiar number, which was unusually short for a UK phone number. The person on the other end of the line was impolite and shouted, insisting on discussing my computer with me. In response, I kindly dismissed his request, telling him not to be absurd. Soon after my response, he promptly ended the call, presumably in India or elsewhere.

I received a telephone call at 8:20 this morning, and all I could hear in the background were vague noises.

I ended the call by mentioning I was too busy and immediately hung up. It's frustrating because sometimes I receive calls where no one is on the other end. Next time, I think I'll tell them to connect me directly and then play some music, possibly rock tunes.

I always make sure to mention that my windows are double glazed whenever Microsoft calls me. However, I also receive annoying calls from the same number where nobody speaks on the line. It is quite bothersome and I would really appreciate it if these calls could be prevented.

I received a call earlier from someone who claimed to be from the Windows help desk. I immediately informed the person that I was aware of their scam. However, to my surprise, they began asking me about job opportunities in the UK, as they were based in India and considering a move. It's important not to fall for these tricks!

I just had a phone call, but nobody spoke on the other end of the line. I used the "1471" service and discovered the number that called me. However, the number is two digits short of being a valid UK number. It's most likely a scam.

I received a phone call today from a person claiming to help with my computer issues. However, I interrupted them and immediately informed them that we are registered under the TPS, making this an illegal and unwanted call. I sternly told them to remove our number from their call list and never contact us again. As I hung up, I could faintly hear the caller protesting that they were only trying to assist me with my computer problem. I'm not gullible enough to fall for such attempts and quickly ended the call. I then used the 1471 service to retrieve their number and went on to look it up on the internet, which led me to your website. This confirmed my suspicions that it was indeed a scam call. They certainly didn't make much progress with me!

Incoming morning call from an anonymous source. The caller remains silent, leading to suspicion. The number appears peculiarly short, potentially indicating an untraceable origin, although this situation seems unlikely in the UK.

I received a call at 10:49 on 25th March 2014. The caller provided me with the number 0808 2343 2039 and I mentioned that I would call them back. However, when I searched for this number online, I discovered that there was no record of such a number. Upon checking the last caller ID using 1471, I was given the number 013256215. It seems like these scammers may have called me before. It is highly likely that this is a scam.
