Got a call around 11 in the morning on 12th July 2018, but they didn’t leave any voicemail. Most of these calls tend to be scams anyway. It’s really upsetting how technology like IP phones, which should make life easier, has opened the door for folk, especially older people, to fall prey to dodgy scams with hardly any safeguards. I reckon more funds should go into creating better ways to block these calls and make things less stressful for everyone. The landline, which used to be a helpful tool, has ended up being more of a nuisance these days.

Got a call from someone saying they were with BT, telling me my broadband was at risk. Then another caller, with an Indian accent, got through too. I’m proper worried - why would BT let folks abroad handle stuff like this? My number's ex-directory, so how on earth did they get hold of it? The number was also showing as blocked. Feels like a scam to me.

Got a call from someone saying they were with my internet provider, told me my broadband was at risk or something like that. Felt like a classic scam to me, just trying to get info or money. Stay careful out there!
