So they rang my landline with a number starting with an STD code I know well, because I’ve got mates from that part of town. That’s actually why I decided to answer. It turned out to be one of those robo scam calls claiming there was a suspicious charge of £299 on my Amazon account, telling me to press 2 to speak to security and stop it. I just ended the call straight away and blocked the number. What creeped me out the most was that they used a local STD code - 01324 828799 - to make it seem legit.
