Got a call from this number. A woman on the line claimed she was ringing from a local company that’d received funds from the Government for some window scrappage scheme. She wanted to check if I qualified. First, she said I was on their list as a homeowner. I told her that wasn’t right. She then asked if it was a private rental or a council property. I said it’s council. She said she'd take me off the list after that. Even though I do own my flat, I just told them I rent from the council and they left me alone! Blocked the number now.

Loads of calls here from a withheld number as well. I hit 5 to check who it was, turns out it was Ideal Home Solutions again. I've reported them to the Telephone Preference Service and the Information Commissioner's Office, both are cracking down on this company legally. You can easily look up the details online. Just fill in a simple form and it could end up costing Ideal Home Solutions a fortune! Now that's what I call proper payback!

While we were away, our phone call was diverted to voicemail. It was a lengthy and rather tedious message asking the receiver to please wait on the line. It seems as though they are employing automated calling technology and only respond when they know someone has answered. Fortunately, we have the benefit of caller display and always refrain from answering calls from unknown numbers.

I've been getting loads of calls from a hidden number saying things like "with winter here," then chatting about some National Windows Recycling Scheme. They tell you to press one for info or another to opt out. I was reluctant to do either, but on 13th April 2017 I pressed for details. Today, Anna from Ideal Home Solutions rang me back from 01324808028. I told her we've been getting nearly three calls a day for months. I asked to speak to her manager, who came on as Amy. They whispered for a bit, then the call just dropped. Not sure if that's the end of it yet.

Got a call from someone named Leanne claiming to be with Ideal Homes Solutions. The awful tape background noise of a noisy office, plus a kid shouting in the background, gave it away. She started going on about me receiving £200 from the government. I told her to mind her kid and then she quickly ended the call.

Been getting calls from this firm (under various names) for years now and telling them I’m on the TPS doesn’t seem to make any difference. I’ve also requested they remove my number, but they just ignore it. They usually want to speak to someone who owned a property here over 8 years ago, so that’s a hint. Seems like they couldn’t care less about breaking the Data Protection rules by using old info.

Got a call from these lot earlier today. They claimed to be from some "government recycling scheme" offering £2,000 discount on new windows. I asked if they knew about the TPS, and the woman said she did but nothing showed up against my number. When I asked for the company name to report them for illegal calls, she just ended the call. The number looked like it was from Falkirk, but the lady sounded like she was from Manchester. Already reported it to the TPS.

I have encountered a supposed window recycling scheme initiated by the government. Being registered on TPS, I inquired about the company's name to report their unlawful actions. However, they abruptly ended the call without providing any information. I promptly reported the incident to TPS and blocked their number on my phone.

I use a BT8500 phone that normally stops unwanted calls unless the caller says who they are. Most of the time it works okay, but then this woman called Ann from Alba Solutions, she actually said her name and started chatting about Government money for home improvements. I cut her off right away and have now blocked the number 01324808028 so hopefully I won't get calls from her or anyone else pretending to be Ann!

Got a call today but just let it keep ringing since we’ve been getting loads recently. I then used 1471 to find out the number. We get like 3 cold calls daily even tho we’re on the TPS. It’s really annoying! I’m trying to just avoid answering and wait till it goes to voicemail. Most times there’s no message or even a number left. Wish there was some way to block these muppets for good.

Got a scam call from someone saying they were 'Alba Solutions' using a Falkirk phone number. The guy had a really weird, mumbled Scottish accent. Got a call from Falkirk this evening, another one of those "energy saving" scams. Got a call yesterday about 10.40 from a local number, so I picked up. The person said something like "Alba" but I just ended the call. Who calls on a Sunday anyway? Whenever they make a phone call, they start by asking for "Mrs. something or other" rather than addressing the person they are calling. These individuals, similar to other intrusive telemarketers, irk me. I constantly receive an overwhelming number of such calls, and decisive action needs to be taken to put an end to this annoyance.

Got a call from someone pretending to just give info, but it felt like a sales pitch (as if!). I asked why they keep ringing TPS listed numbers and she snapped back, "When was your last check then?" As a member of TPS, I still find myself receiving an overwhelming number of calls throughout the day and night. It's quite frustrating. On March 8th, I received a call but was unable to answer it, as I was using my landline. However, on my answering machine, I heard some quick, mumbling voices mentioning the word "agent," along with some classical music playing in the background. Frustrated with this nuisance, I decided to end the call by disconnecting the phone line from the terminal box. It's worth noting that I have encountered similar unauthorized calls before, much like what other people have shared. Truly a bothersome annoyance!

This number rang me and then some automated voice said "your call matters to us, please wait!" then stuck me on hold with awful music for about a minute before hanging up. If they’re one of those double glazing companies trying to flog windows using some fake government scrappage scheme nonsense, here’s what to do. Play along, get them to send a sales rep round, show them you’ve already got double glazing, and waste their time just like they’re wasting yours. It was honestly hilarious.

Got a call while I was busy tidying up after dinner, and we're actually signed up with the telephone preference service - which, honestly, feels pointless. The person claimed there’s some recycling scheme happening locally. Bit rich, seeing as we just got back from holiday to find our rubbish bin, plus a few others, wasn’t emptied last Friday even though we asked a mate to put it out. The council say they’ll sort it within 5 working days, but I wouldn’t hold my breath unless they’re in cahoots with whoever called. And of course, they still tell us to use plastic bin bags.
