6 yearsI got a call from someone saying they were with an investment firm based in London that I supposedly joined, which I definitely didn’t. They had my name, number, and email, which I guess isn’t too difficult to track down. When I asked where exactly they were calling from, they stuttered a bit and just said “the UK”. I asked again, and after a pause, they finally said “London”.LondonUK6 yearsAbsolute dodgy business! This bloke had my name, contact number, and email all to hand. He was adamant that I had registered with some online investment firm he was affiliated with. When I probed about his location, he merely said “the UK”, and upon further inquiry, he fumbled his way to “London”. With his thick Indian accent and the chatter of others in the background, it seems pretty clear he’s part of a con operation, possibly in Bangalore or perhaps even Falkirk!
