I got a call from someone saying they were with an investment firm based in London that I supposedly joined, which I definitely didn’t. They had my name, number, and email, which I guess isn’t too difficult to track down. When I asked where exactly they were calling from, they stuttered a bit and just said “the UK”. I asked again, and after a pause, they finally said “London”.

Total con job. This bloke had my full details - name, number, even my email. He kept going on about how I’d supposedly signed up for some online investing scheme he was pushing. I asked him where he was calling from, and he said “the UK” at first, but when I pressed for a city, he paused and then said “London.” With his Indian accent and the other voices I heard in the background, I reckon he’s sitting in some call centre in Bangalore, or maybe it’s somewhere like Falkirk. Seriously, steer well clear of these muppets! Just block the number before they even get through. Absolute waste of time.
