I entered my phone number on what I believed was a trustworthy site to compare utility prices (gas and electricity). Not long after, I got five calls from different UK STD prefixes. I didn’t pick up any of them and quickly blocked the numbers, thinking they were just telemarketers or possibly scammers. The calls came from these numbers: 01324 514026, supposedly Falkirk 01947 800060, apparently Whitby 01938 414410, said to be Welshpool 01598 504416, claimed to be Lynton 01663 844413, listed as New Mills Pretty suspicious and annoying to say the least!

Not long after, my phone buzzed with about five calls from different UK STD area codes. I let them ring out and blocked them straight away, guessing they were either telemarketers or scammers.
