Got woken up by those muppets at Falkirk Financial Services this morning. Absolute joke.

Got a letter from someone trying to sell a property in Falkirk, and it included this phone number. The letter mentioned that starting from 1st April 2017, the charge for empty homes would jump to 200% of the usual rate. It warned that if you didn’t send back the form enclosed, the increased fee would automatically start from that date. The form needed to be sent to an empty homes officer. The letter was signed by Paul Ferguson, who is the revenues manager, with the email [email protected]. It was on official Falkirk Council letterhead. There was also a contact named Elaine Hall, phone number 01324 590802, and her email was [email protected] (note the spelling). At the bottom, Falkirk Council’s general email [email protected] was there, with the ‘eh’ part underlined.
