I got a call from a lady speaking with a strong foreign accent who said she was calling on behalf of BT Openreach. Apparently, they were doing some work on our line and she asked me to check my internet speed for them. It didn’t feel right to me, since I’m pretty sure BT Openreach wouldn’t ring up like that. They usually do remote tests themselves, and if they actually needed to know the speed, they’d just send an engineer with proper gear to check. I blocked the number straight away.
