3 yearsI received a phone call around 2 o'clock this afternoon and was met by a chap with a distinct Indian accent who cheerfully said, "Good Morning." Being in a playful mood, I decided to indulge him a bit and mentioned it was morning in my neck of the woods, asking him where he was based. We then dove into the usual spiel about how he wanted to extend some fantastic offer. I feigned a bit of hearing difficulty, insisting he speak more clearly. Eventually, I spun a yarn about how he'd be better off contacting my son (who, for the record, does not exist) since he’s the one who covers my phone bill. I even offered to supply him with my "son's" number, suggesting he might like to share the lucrative deal with him too. I fabricated a story that my "son" was a police officer, currently on duty till 10 pm, leaving no opportunity for him to call this imaginary lad today. Oddly enough, he hung up rather abruptly.
