Phone number ☎️ 01323920867 👆 is reported as a persistent scam number targeting mainly older people with offers of free or low-cost personal emergency alarm pendants. Call recipients frequently note silent calls, hang-ups upon answering, or aggressive attempts to obtain personal data such as date of birth. The callers sometimes claim to represent medical or government-affiliated services, but their legitimacy is doubtful. Many users advise against responding or sharing information and stress the importance of blocking the number and, crucially, reporting the calls to official agencies like the police, Ofcom, or via the 7726 text service. I've had this number ring me three different times. Two of those times, as soon as I picked up, the call ended straight away. On the other occasion, there was nothing but silence on the other end.

26/12 at around 14:30, got a call from an unknown number. It was silent on the other end, then they just hung up. I tried ringing back but no one answered, just silence again before it cut off.

Have a look at the post 8 down from here. Elderly folks who are vulnerable often end up losing cash from these scams. The more these cases get reported to the police or Ofcom, the better chances we have of stopping people from getting ripped off.

I got a call from someone saying I could get a personal safety alarm. Since I'm pretty healthy and active, although a bit older than the age they mentioned, I immediately felt something was off. When they asked for my birth date, I told them it was private and hung up straight away. Honestly, don’t get tricked by this!

Earlier today, I got a silent call from this number, but later they actually spoke to me. I told the bloke straight that I don’t deal with cold calls, but he kept claiming over and over that he wasn’t one. Midway through saying I could get an alarm system, I just ended the call.

Picked up cause no nuisance notice showed up. Hung on for a bit, then said hello. Heard some static, then they just hung up without saying a word. I’ll block it once I figure out how to do that.

I just let this random number ring without picking up.

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent about some kind of medical alert gadget. I saw the caller ID and it wasn’t familiar. I’m on the no cold call list so I’m always wary. Took a bit to pick up which is normal when it’s a scam or those fake call centres they run. Definitely felt fishy.

On 8th Jan 2026, I got a call but they didn't leave any voicemail, then hung up straight away. Seems like a scam to me so I've blocked the number now. Things were pretty calm over the holidays, but these calls have started up again. I did reach out to Report Fraud back in December, but they said the problem with these scam calls hasn't really changed!

Got a call about a free emergency alert device for old folks. I didn’t share any details with them, yet somehow they already had my postcode. Strange!

If anyone else keeps getting calls from this number, please consider reporting it to the police or Ofcom, they have official ways to handle these scams. This one seems especially bad. Have a look at the comments below for info on how to properly report these scam attempts. The reason scammers target vulnerable folks is because they know they can get away with it. Most of us here checking this site probably won’t fall for it. It’s the ones who don’t know about these scams that really need our support.

Got a call from someone pretending to be from a medical service, sounded like a scam to me. They were asking about what kind of treatments I use and stuff. No way I’m trusting that.

I reported this before but got another call tonight from the same number, just a different person this time. I just hung up straight away.

Got a call from some scammer pretending to be from a private firm selling an emergency alert pendant. They said their company name was "Medical Health Services" and gave a fake company registration number that doesn't show up anywhere. They already had bits of info on us like our surname, postcode and phone number, so it's clear how these shady folks trick people who aren't on their guard. Don't fall for anyone claiming to give government benefits or incentives. Always check legit places like gov.uk or the trusted Martin Lewis Money Saving Expert page before trusting anything.

Over the last few days I’ve had three calls, and each time I pick up there's nothing but silence on the other end. I reckon these types are trying to get you to speak, maybe even just say your name like we used to do years ago before things got dodgy. If you give them your name, they probably sell that info and can verify you actually live where you say, meaning you’ll likely get bombarded with calls from whoever bought the details. Honestly, just hang up and don’t bother.

I got a call from someone who actually said my name and told me I qualified for a medical alert pendant. Then they asked me to confirm my date of birth. I just refused and said no, then they quickly ended the call. I figure if I had said yes, they probably would have asked for my bank info next.

I got a call for seniors, they had my last name and said there’s a gadget for people over 60 supported by the government. Then they asked when I was born, but I said no way I’m giving out my dob on the phone. After that, they just hung up. Seems like a total scam to me.
