Got a call today from 01323886543 on my job's phone. This bloke was really cheeky, saying he’s from Virgin Media IT and that there was some kind of interception on my Virgin Media service - which I don’t even have! He said it might put my security at risk. I just cut him off straight away.

Got a call from a woman claiming to be with Virgin Media. She said something about my barmaid being involved in some dodgy illegal stuff. I wasn’t convinced it was legit and there was no way to confirm her identity. Ended up just hanging up, and thankfully they never rang again. Definitely a scam in my book.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent saying there’s a problem with my BT line. Didn’t bother listening, just hung up straight away. This is the third time this week I’ve had calls from them and a couple of other numbers too. Be careful if you get a call from 03001236798.

So this person claimed my internet was hacked or something, right? I told them I work for British Intelligence and my colleague was tracking the call. They tried to squeeze out more details from me, and I hit them with a question about being devout in the Muslim faith, asking how scamming folks would affect their judgement. The convo got heated, they started calling me stupid and said I was going to die, but I wasn’t having any of it. I’m seriously going to ring them back and give them a piece of my mind.

The chap went on about how my computer was responsible for messing with my router's performance. Then, he requested remote access to my machine, claiming this would enable him to sort it all out. I couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't right, so I took it upon myself to alert the authorities about this scammer!
