Fraudulent call - they claimed my Amazon Prime subscription was set to auto-renew and urged me to press #1 to cancel it. The thing is, I don't even have an Amazon Prime account, so I ended the call.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent saying he was from Amazon. He asked if I had bought some Nikes, then tried to get me to give him the OTP code that was sent to my phone so he could "cancel" the order. The message clearly said not to share the code with anyone! Be careful, this is a total scam!

I was on the phone with a man from Asia who claimed he could sort out my debts; he said I owed over £6000. I told him that sounded brilliant and asked if he could just clear them for me! Then he started giving an address I hadn’t lived at for over four decades. When I challenged him about that and said I actually don’t owe anything, he called me a liar. That’s when I told him he was a total scammer and ended the call straightaway!

I’m absolutely fed up with these persistent scams at this point. They ring me a minimum of four times daily. They claim to be from either PayPal or Amazon, incessantly insisting that I owe them money. Apparently, I've allegedly purchased four phones, a laptop, and also mysteriously had my account hacked, not to mention the supposed theft of funds! The sheer volume of nonsense is staggering. The only time one of these despicable callers managed to get the upper hand was when my father-in-law passed away. They had the audacity to say he’d made transactions on his account and insisted on issuing a refund. Their attitude was cold and callous, straight-up accusing me of fabricating his demise. My advice? Just block them, report them, and move on with your life!

Debt Assistance Scam - I was scrolling through the web while chatting with an Asian fellow who claimed he could assist me. He mentioned I had debts exceeding £6000 and said he could alleviate them. I thought, excellent, how generous of him to offer to settle those! However, he then referenced an address I haven’t lived at for over a decade. When I pointed this out and reiterated that I’m debt-free, he had the audacity to call me a liar. That was my cue to label him a fraud and ended the conversation!

I received a phone call from a woman of Asian descent, and there was quite a bit of noise in the background. She claimed to be representing PayPal and mentioned that there was an unusual transaction involving a foreign company named Lina for over £300. She asked if I had authorised such a payment. I denied making any such transaction, and she offered to cancel it for me. She provided a cancellation code, 62226, and requested that I share it with her to proceed. I told her I’d investigate the matter myself first and would reach out if necessary. At that, she abruptly ended the call.

I had a rather strange phone call today, punctuated with a cacophony of background sounds. An Asian woman claimed she was representing PayPal, insisting there was some suspicious activity taking place in my account originating from overseas. She insisted I provide my personal details to halt this supposed transaction. When I told her I preferred to ring PayPal directly, she became quite defensive, asserting that she was part of the fraud division, and it was urgent I listened to her. I reiterated my intention to contact the fraud department myself, at which point her tone turned rather combative, saying it was my money at stake and that she was merely attempting to assist. Eventually, she abruptly hung up on me.

I received a rather dubious call from someone named Lisa claiming to be with "Amazon"-she definitely didn't have a British accent, if you know what I mean. She was prattling on about an unexpected £100 charge that I supposedly made. The thing is, no one in my household has even touched Amazon. I asked her for my name to verify her claims, and mentioned I was about to ring my bank for confirmation. Suddenly, she just cut the line. It's quite alarming, so I urge everyone to stay vigilant!

I experienced a similar situation! A rather pushy bloke pretended to be from Amazon, and at first, he seemed quite credible. However, things took a dodgy turn when he began requesting my card details. I firmly told him that I'd ring Amazon directly, but he was relentless and even attempted to ring me back while I was on hold with them. I've shared the number with Amazon, so just a heads up-yo might want to keep an eye out for any new numbers as these scammers might get a tad creative in trying to reach you again.

Scam from an Indian call centre. Just had a rather dubious call where the individual claimed that there’s an iPhone scheduled for return from Germany and that he could help me cancel it if I provided my login details. 1. For starters, Amazon has a policy against making unsolicited calls like this - it’s all about protecting your security. They would never request your login info over the phone. 2. By the way, the phone number seemed to trace back to Eastbourne, a location tied to Amazon’s distribution operations, not a centre for handling customer inquiries. 3. Also, let’s be clear - any return process is managed automatically through courier services, not via phone conversations.

I received a rather peculiar call from an Asian woman who insisted she was representing Amazon regarding an Apple laptop that had supposedly been purchased on my account just the night before. A rather unpleasant woman of Asian descent reckoned it wise to inform me that my funds had vanished from my account, claiming that if I failed to divulge my information, it would be lost for good. I received a call from an Asian woman inquiring whether I had bought a laptop on Amazon the previous evening, claiming it might be a fraudulent transaction. She mentioned that they would send me a code via text. This immediately raised my suspicions, so I feigned poor reception and told her I’d ring her back before promptly hanging up. After investigating the number, my hunch was confirmed. Soon after, I did receive a code from Amazon but chose not to engage with it. She attempted to reach me five more times before finally relenting.
