Kingsbridge Living called me about a quote for new windows from last year and also brought up home insulation. The lady was really nice. When I said I wasn’t interested, she just said thanks and that she’d update her info. Not all calls are bad, some folks are just trying to make an honest living.

A lady speaking with a foreign accent asked if she could speak to a Mr X Y (she mentioned a male name). I told her she must have dialled the wrong number. She then went on with "Well, since I have you on the line, can I ask you something else bla bla bla." and that’s when I just hung up.

Got a call from a guy with a heavy accent about some quick 30 seconds survey to pick the best energy provider. He was really polite, unlike most, so I guess they’re training them to be nicer - that’s a bit better at least. He had my previous address but I wouldn’t give him my current one, so he just ended the call nicely. Still, a pretty annoying interruption though.

got two dodgy calls just yesterday. i just ended the call straight away, felt like a scam to me. put the first number on my blocked list but then got called again from a similar number so i blocked that too. it’s crazy there’s no way to track these scammers down and stop them, especially since lots of older folks like me aren’t great with phone or online security stuff.
