3 yearsGot a call from a local number, so I picked up, but of course it was “unknown” on caller ID. The bloke on the line sounded like he was talking from the bottom of the ocean - loads of crackles and weird noises, like some underwater echo. His accent was supposed to be regional and “inclusive” or something posh like that, but honestly, it just came off as rough and hard to understand. From the bits I managed to make out, he was telling me to press ONE to stop my internet, TV licence, phone, or even my car from being cut off or taken away - honestly it was all over the place and a complete mess thanks to his dodgy English and the awful sound quality.
