6 yearsI got a call claiming to be from Amazon saying there was a purchase of £299 from California on my account. Thing is, I never ordered anything like that and I definitely don’t have that kinda money in my bank. They kept talking about sending me a form to fill out and tried pushing me to cancel the order. I told them there was nothing to cancel because I never made the order and there’s no money to take. Weirdly, they knew my name and where I live but didn’t say anything else. When I asked questions, they just ignored me. I’ve had about six or more calls like this before and usually just hang up, but this time I pressed 1 to hear the message and then dialled 1471 to check the caller ID.
