Got a call from an automated woman saying my Amazon Prime subscription needs renewing. Thing is, I don’t even have Amazon Prime! Hung up straight away and blocked the number.

I've been getting these silent calls quite a bit, one of them was completely automated. Today they kept calling and when I picked up, there was nobody speaking. Then later, this call came through where they actually said my name and asked me to confirm it. They even tried to get my date of birth but I said no way. They claimed it was from Amazon or something like that. Proper annoying!

I answered the phone but my answerphone started up and they just ended the call straight away. It was about 8.47 this morning. Since I’m disabled, it’s hard for me to get to the phone quickly, and at that time of morning you worry it might be something urgent with family.
