I picked up the phone and they just hung up on me right away.

Got a call from 01323479718 but sussed it was dodgy straight away, so didn’t say a word and the line just cut off. These calls keep coming, at least twice daily. On top of that, there’s also been about two daily from 0018457826044. TalkTalk really need to sort themselves out. I used to be a customer but switched over in September, and all I can say is it’s much wiser to walk away than to stick with TalkTalk!

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming to be from TalkTalk. He warned me that my router was being hacked and said someone from TalkTalk would come round with a new router. He wanted me to let him access my computer and asked me to open TeamViewer. Just as I was about to say something, the call cut off. Anyone know who this might have been? Also, how can I be sure my stuff’s safe now and where should I report this? The number was i279 or something like that.

I had a run-in with a Talk Talk scammer today. They were trying to persuade me to let them access my computer via Teamviewer. Just wondering, who should we alert about this dodgy behaviour?

Just received a dodgy call from someone claiming to be from Talktalk. The line was dreadful, and their voice was rather off-putting. I immediately suspected it was a scam. I informed the caller that I thought their call was fraudulent and mentioned I’d report it before hanging up. Beware of this number!

Received a call with no one on the other end at 9:25 this morning, 30th October 2015. Quite puzzling, to say the least!

I just received a call from this number, but I let it go to voicemail. They didn’t leave a message and simply hung up. Quite odd, really!

I got a call from someone saying they were with TalkTalk, telling me my emails and computer might’ve been hacked according to their system. They asked for some personal info, but I just ended the call. About 45 minutes later they rang again, and when I picked up, there was no one talking, just silence on the other end, so I hung up straight away again.

This morning at precisely 9:09, my phone rang, and it was a fellow named Alan, who had an unusual accent - something like a blend of Asian tones, though rather unconvincing. He asserted he was calling from the TalkTalk offices located on ?Street in London. His manner was rather hurried, as he proceeded to push for access to my TalkTalk account. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Hello everyone, I recently received a call on my home phone from the number mentioned above. The line was rather poor and they disconnected as soon as I answered. A few months back, I experienced a flurry of similar calls, all originating from international numbers with individuals speaking accents from places like India and Pakistan. They were all claiming to be from TalkTalk, asserting that my account had been compromised and urging me to access my computer so they could assist. Things have been rather peaceful on that front for the last couple of months, but it seems today marks an unwelcome return!

I received yet another call regarding our TalkTalk router, a topic we've discussed repeatedly before. It's becoming rather tiresome and quite frankly, it's testing my patience at this point.

Beware of con artists attempting to gain access to your computer! They're pressing you to sign in to your TalkTalk account and, shockingly, they seem to have your personal information as well! Stay vigilant!

It was precisely 12:45 in the afternoon when this number decided to ring me up. As I have caller ID in place, the call was redirected to my answering machine, which promptly came into action but alas, no message was left behind. So, I turned to 1471 to unveil the mystery of the number. However, as soon as I dialled it, my phone initiated a ring tone on the other end! Quite baffled, I ended that call and gave it another go, only to encounter the same peculiar situation. I then opted to call a mate of mine and immediately after, returned to 1471. This time, instead of the usual service, I was greeted directly by the caller's voice message. It seems they might have kept the line open post-call. So, I’d advise waiting about five minutes before dialling any unfamiliar number, as 1471 doesn’t grant you the usual call ring tone.

Has anyone got any idea who keeps calling me? Loads of missed calls from this number. I'm wondering if it’s just another dodgy TalkTalk scam or something. Cheers!

I’m echoing what others have mentioned about issues with the Talk Talk router. I received some alarming news stating that my computer might be infected with a virus, which could lead to serious crashes.

Today, on the 16th of October 2015, I received a rather dubious call at precisely 16:15. The chap on the other end claimed to be from TalkTalk, my internet provider, and asserted that there was an issue with my router. When I inquired about my TalkTalk account number, he promptly ended the call. Honestly, it sends a chill down my spine thinking about what might have happened if a less cautious person had engaged with them and followed their instructions!
