The number had my own area code, so I picked up. A woman spoke with a strong Indian accent and said, "Hello sir, this is BT. We've found an issue with your internet." I told her, "No, I’m not a BT customer." She quickly said, "Alright then, sorry for the disturbance. Have a good day." Definitely a scam, but funny how they used the local area code to make it seem legit.
