Got a call from a lady claiming to be from iTalk, mentioning some enquiry I supposedly made not long ago - but I’ve never even heard of this broadband firm before. She wanted to know who my current provider was, so I told her Virgin, been with them for a couple of years now and not looking to switch anytime soon as I’m on a rolling contract studying. She seemed a bit stuck after that, just muttered something like, ‘Alright then, if you ever want a better deal, just give me a shout.’ Bit strange really.

I had a similar experience; it’s clearly a scamming attempt. They seem very keen on prying into your personal information. I've been receiving calls from the same number, insisting that I owe money to the tax authorities, claiming there's a warrant out for my arrest. It was an Asian bloke who introduced himself as Paul-quite amusing really, as he clearly fumbled his lines. Honestly, it's all just a load of nonsense! These individuals are utterly ridiculous.
