Got a call from a British Telecom number warning me my internet would be cut off tomorrow because it was "compromised." They told me to press 1 to speak to a technician. I ignored it since I’ve had the same message on answerphone a few times already, and my internet is still working perfectly. The number showed up as if it was from my local exchange, which I think is just them trying to look legit and get me to pick up. Total scam, so don’t fall for it!

got a call saying it was bt warning me my internet was being cut off because of a hack, told me to press 1. just hung up straight away. i dont even have bt so obviously a scam. ignored it and everything's working fine. defo a phishing trick trying to steal your info. these scammers need to be caught and punished.
