Got a call from one of 16 numbers linked to Authorised Push Payment scams supposedly from Sky internet. Thought I was pretty alert, but somehow they tricked me. After that, I was bombarded with 15 more calls from different numbers nonstop, which made it totally impossible to get through to my bank and stop the payments. I honestly felt overwhelmed and confused by their relentless tactics. Ended up losing £2,000 from my account. Seriously, don’t pick up if you see these numbers.

Got a call from an Asian guy claiming to be from the “Microsoft tech team” about problems with my PC. I told him I didn’t want any help, said ‘bye’, and ended the call. Thought that sort of scam had vanished by now, but seems like it’s still going strong.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Microsoft support, total scam. I played the usual game, asking if I could borrow their pen to jot stuff down. They were proper confused, asking how I’d do that. I told them to stick the pen down the phone line so I could borrow it. They said it was nonsense. I just shot back that it was sillier than them ringing me up. The bloke swore a bit, then I hung up. Felt good messing with their time and letting them know they’re a proper muppet. Sorted!

My dad, who’s 97, got a call from this number. He didn’t really get what they were on about and just ended up hanging up. Later, he rang me to see if the call was from the doctor, since he was expecting one. It was pretty annoying trying to figure it all out.

I got a call from someone claiming to be "Microsoft" using this number. They said my PC was showing errors and needed urgent fixing because of viruses. I acted daft and played along while they tried convincing me to open a remote access app called "Anydesk". I lied and said I’d entered everything but my screen was stuck with a loading icon and a timer counting down. After about 20 minutes, they got annoyed, accused me of messing about, and just ended the call!
