I received a recorded message claiming to be from my bank's security department, concerning a £699 transfer.

Visa / Train ticket scam. Same old recorded message, but on a different phone number. Says train tickets bought on a credit card, press 1 if not your transaction. I recommend you do not press 1!! Avoid.
