Received a call claiming to be from Amazon regarding two hefty transactions amounting to more than £1300. Seems rather fishy, considering I've never even set up an Amazon account! Definitely sounds like a scam to me.

Got a weird phone call today, claimed to be from Amazon about a couple of big orders worth more than £1300. The phone number caught my attention as it looked really local, right from my own town of Swanley, Kent, and was just a couple of digits off our landline. I told the bloke on the line he must be close by, which seemed to throw him off a bit. Honestly though, I reckon he was probably ringing from somewhere like Delhi or Kolkata. I also said my lad has power of attorney over things and that seemed to make him hang up pretty quickly.
