I got a call claiming there was some tax fraud with my details and if I didn’t let them transfer me to another line, I’d get arrested. I didn’t carry on with the call, but I reckon they’d have tried to get my card info to settle the supposed “tax debt”.

Honestly, it’s incredibly frustrating dealing with this persistent nuisance. I’ve ended up blocking the number, but only after being bombarded with nearly 30 calls in just five days! Take heed and don't pick up. If they're not leaving any voicemails, it's unlikely to be someone in your circle. I can't help but feel this has to be a scam of some sort.

My mum got a call from this number, but the moment she picked up, the line just went silent. I’m just gonna hang on and see if they ring again. Proper annoying!

i usually dont pick up calls from numbers i dont recognise cuz there are loads of scammers lately. i just let it ring out, then i looked up the number online and loads of ppl say its spammy. pretty happy i avoided that one. now its blocked.

Horrible spammers. I called the number back but it just says it doesn't exist. Why even bother calling if they're not gonna leave a message when nobody picks up? Full waste of time.

Received two calls from this number. The messages were rather vague, mentioning 'payment' and 'action'. When I tried to return the call, I was met with a dead end-apparently, the number is fraudulent. Definitely a scam! I've now blocked them. Caller: Unknown.

They shouldn't go around saying they're some kind of investment company.

Some dodgy investment firm rang me up saying I could get a guaranteed 9.5% return. Apparently, my number got picked up from some investment database, which they reckoned was linked to an enquiry I made a few months back on a website I assumed was legit and government-run. The initial call I got like that was definitely a scam, so I'm betting this lot are just another bunch of fraudsters.
