On the 22nd of September 2020, some guy called me claiming Openreach and BT had separated, and that I could save money on my business line. He said his name was Jay. I told him I wasn’t interested, but he phoned again later. So, I ended up blocking the number.

Today, I received a call on my landline from a chap with an accent that didn't quite sound local. He began yammering on about my electricity plan, but I couldn't quite fathom what company he was representing, as he never mentioned it. To be honest, it felt a bit dodgy and I'm highly suspicious it could be a scam.

I reckon this number is rather dodgy, if you ask me. I can't say for certain, but the chap who rang me was an Indian fellow and he definitely didn't come across as trustworthy. He gave me quite the fright really, attempting to intimidate me. I wasted no time and cut the call, promptly adding the number to my block list!

Similar to what others have said, I got a call about energy services for businesses. I told them my workplace is actually my house and immediately thought it sounded dodgy. The woman, who spoke with an Asian accent, said it wasn’t a scam, but given I’d signed up with the terms and conditions, I really shouldn’t have been getting this kind of call. She kept pushing while we talked, which was annoying. Safe to say, I’ve blocked the number now.

Similar to what others mentioned, I got a call about business electricity and gas. I told them my “office” is actually my home and thought it sounded fishy. The woman, who had an asian accent, kept saying it wasn’t a scam. But I explained that since I’m signed up with the terms of service, I shouldn’t be getting calls like this. She kept pushing the same story the whole time. Anyway, blocked the number after that.
