Received a rather dodgy call earlier today, the chap on the other end claimed to represent BT. Some bloke called me up saying there was some hacking issue with my internet. I went along with it, and he kept asking me to check the keys on my keyboard, like which one was beside the Ctrl key. Didn’t say why, but I reckon he was sussing out if I was on a Windows or a Mac. He never asked for my name or any personal stuff, and kept saying he wasn’t after that info. Pretty clear it was a scam, but I have to admit, he stayed chill and acted like he really knew his stuff while I fumbled around.

I’ve had a few calls about my so-called Amazon Prime account - at least three now. It’s clear this is just some scam, but honestly, someone needs to deal with these people before they manage to rob someone of all their savings.

Got a voicemail from a number claiming to be BT, warning me my internet would be cut off in a day because apparently my accounts were hacked. Problem is, I don’t even have BT as my internet provider. They then gave a list of options to press. I just ended the call and jumped onto this site to check what was going on.

For a couple of weeks now, I've been getting calls from this number every now and then. But this morning at 8am, it was just too much and something had to be done. Definately a scam.

I've been receiving incessant calls on my home phone, specifically from the number 01322425248. It’s quite peculiar because whenever I answer, there’s nothing on the other end - just silence. Quite frustrating, really!

I let it go to voicemail and then hung up. Happy I looked them up here first - total scammers trying it on. Absolute con artists.

Today I got a call from this number claiming to be Amazon, talking about my Amazon Prime. I’ve had similar calls before so I just ended it straight away. The other time I actually stayed on the line they told me to press a button to speak to “my Amazon account manager.” Obviously, I hung up quick. If you're unsure and thinking about pressing a button, don’t bother. It’s definitely a scam and could trick some folks who aren’t on the lookout.

I got a call from 01322425248 earlier and the person claimed to be from OfCom. They said my phone line would be disconnected soon. Felt a bit dodgy to me.

How come Action Fraud and the police aren't cracking down on these awful scammers?! Got a call from 01322 425248, which is a Dartford number. That area code - 01322 - covers Dartford and nearby spots. Looks like the number is legit, but Ofcom shows 0132242 series belongs to BT. Keep in mind, if someone ported the number to another provider, that info isn’t out there. The last update from Ofcom about this range was way back in Feb 1999. It’s frustrating they let these muppets get away with it!

I got a call from 01322425248 telling me my Amazon account had to be renewed and to press 1 to chat with someone. Thankfully, my phone keypad wasn't working properly and when I tried pressing 1, nothing went through. I ended the call pretty quick once I figured it was dodgy.

I received a dodgy call claiming to be from BT, but the caller ID showed an international number. The person on the line insisted that my BT internet would be cut off shortly, despite the fact that I don't even use BT for my internet. Quite the cheeky trick, if you ask me!

On the 14th of October 2020, I received a call from this number claiming to be BT, threatening to disconnect my internet. Thing is, I don’t even have BT internet! The call log showed it was from abroad. These sorts of calls can be really risky, especially for elderly folks.
