5 yearsSomebody phoned me claiming to be from SSE, saying the serial number on my meter didn’t match their records and asked me to confirm it. It was obviously a scam to use my meter number for dodgy activities and then bill me for it. They also mentioned there was confusion because supposedly there were several meters at my address, but I only have one. The caller had a strong Indian accent that was quite difficult to follow. When I tried ringing back the number they gave, it just went straight to dead air with no ringing sound.
