Seems like a scam, they just ended the call abruptly.

Got a call earlier from some Asian bloke saying he was from OT (but definitely not BT). Didn't hang around and just cut the call off. Tried ringing back but the number didn’t show up anywhere - looked like it was faked to seem like a UK number or something dodgy.

Got a call at 8 this morning. It was a recorded message from a woman with an American accent saying that BT was going to cut off my internet today. Guess we’ll see what happens! While browsing through various "who called me" platforms, I stumbled upon a comment regarding the number 0131 851 5173, and it mirrored what someone else had reported. Quite the coincidence, isn’t it?
