I also had a rather alarming call recently, where a rather dodgy-sounding chap insisted I verify my name. His accent was quite thick, and he stumbled over my name, which was rather amusing in an unsettling way. I flat out said 'No' and hung up, but he had the audacity to ring me back! In a rather menacing tone, he demanded to know why I’d terminated the call so abruptly. When I inquired about his identity and the company he represented, he simply refused to divulge any information. The line went dead, yet he lingered on the line for a spell before finally disconnecting, temporarily halting any calls to my number. It’s high time that stringent measures are taken against such nuisance calls!
