I received a call four times earlier today, on the 25th of November, 2016, with the caller claiming to be from TalkTalk. They requested that I switch on my computer so they could assist in getting rid of some sort of blockage. After they called me a second time, I decided it best to hang up rather than comply. From what I've gathered from other people's experiences, this seems to be a dodgy scheme.

Someone rang me claiming to be Norman from the "service team at my internet provider". I just said "yeah, right" and ended the call straight away.

They keep calling me over and over since around 7:45 in the morning. When I pick up, there's just an eerie silence on the other end.

Just like the others, they hung up in a jiffy when I mentioned that I’d call Talk Talk myself to clarify what was going on, given that I had no clue who they actually were. It’s clearly a scam! Never let anyone get control of your computer; they’ll access all your personal details and swindle you in a heartbeat.
