I got a call from someone showing a Newington, Edinburgh number, but it was obviously from abroad. Thought it was local and picked up, but turned out to be a cold call so I just ended it. Seriously, shouldn’t phone providers stop foreign callers from putting UK numbers on their caller ID? It’s really confusing.

Got a call from a local Edinburgh number about a traffic accident, so I picked up. Turns out it was just some offshore call centre cold calling. Bit annoying really.

I got a call out the blue from someone claiming they had my info about a car crash I’d been in. I told him I’d only chat if he could tell me my name - unsurprisingly, he didn’t know it. Then he started getting annoyed and just ended the call. What a muppet.
