There’s always a short pause before some automated voice comes on, saying it’s from Bank Security. Instantly, I’m thinking here we go again. I ended the call straight away. Even after blocking the number, they just keep coming through with different fake numbers. When are these con artists going to be stopped for good?

Got a call on my landline from this number, seemed dodgy for sure. Had loads of calls with similar numbers saying something about Amazon payments. I don't even have a computer or use Amazon. Just put the number straight on block. Definitely a scam.

Got a call from some electronic voice warning me about two odd card transactions. They never said if they were a bank or a credit card firm. I just ended the call right away.

Definitely a scam that should be reported. I got a call from a recorded woman speaking flawless English, claiming she was from my bank’s fraud team. She mentioned that two dodgy transactions were made but didn’t say which bank or which account. At the end, she said “Press 1 if you want to approve this payment,” which gave it away as a scam. I quickly put down the landline and reported the number to O2, who seem to at least be taking action to track and shut down these dodgy call centres.
