Both my partner and I are EE customers and we seem to constantly receive calls from this number, as well as on our landline, which we usually ignore since it's an unknown number. It got me thinking, why does EE seem to attract these scammers? Are they able to access customer's private information or is it being sold to them? I keep receiving frequent calls on my spare mobile, which I use exclusively for storing non-essential phone numbers. Soon after, I received another call on my landline from someone claiming to be from India or a similar location. They insisted that I open my computer and perform certain tasks. In response, I jokingly told them that a massive red dragon had unexpectedly burst out of my front door and rushed away. The call abruptly ended after that humorous remark. It left me amused.
