Heads up, this number is linked to a dodgy mobile phone scam and it’s already been reported to Action Fraud. These scammers seem to know quite a bit of your personal info, which is really alarming. I fell for it myself and it was an absolute nightmare trying to fix everything afterwards. Just watch out and don’t get caught up in their tricks!

I got a call from a man with an Asian accent who seemed to be aware of my Vodafone payments. He offered me a 40% cut on my bill and told me to ring him back on 01316189892 after he emailed me some details. I checked the number on this site and realised it was a scam.

Got a call from some bloke named Chris saying he was from EE, offering me a 40% discount, even sent me an email that looked legit from EE. But then I noticed my password was changed. He asked me to 'confirm my info', even though he already had it in front of him or so he said. Then he wanted the 16-digit number off my bank card to update my direct debit. No chance! Last time I dealt with the actual EE, they sorted my direct debit without asking for all that sensitive stuff. Definitely a dodgy call.

They had all the info about my Vodafone deal but turned out to be a total scammer.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Vodafone saying I could get an Apple Watch with a cheaper monthly contract, like 30% off the usual price. They asked me for my card info but I didn’t give it to them. Thing is, they already had loads of my personal info - name, address, bank account number, sort code, phone number and email. Felt fishy, so I just hung up. Don’t fall for it, they sound convincing but it’s a scam!

This lot claim to be from Carphone Warehouse and promise a deal that sounds too good to be true - because it is! They’re really good at sounding legit, I got totally tricked. They want you to pay, but then keep saying the payment hasn’t gone through. Trust me, don’t hand over any details. They even tricked the system by sending some money to Carphone Warehouse to make it look official. Ended up losing £90 and had to cancel my card straight away. Don’t get caught out like I did!

Beware, this number 01316189892 is a notorious scammer operating out of Edinburgh. I received a call from someone claiming to be affiliated with Vodafone, representing Carphone Warehouse. Their name was Michael, and they provided a supposed employee ID: 8001. They went on to mention the Vodafone dispatch team, using the numbers +44 7960 090311 and +44 7466 957641. These absolute fraudsters managed to extract money from my account, having all the right information at their disposal. I barely had to divulge anything as they seemed to have all my details readily available on their end. I was shocked to find out that my funds were transferred to a Western Union in Austria. They will feign technical difficulties, just to make you repeat your passcode over and over as transactions vanish from your account. I've already lodged complaints with both the Metropolitan Police and Fraud Action in both England and Scotland. Stay vigilant, as they target those who are most vulnerable.

This number called me, claiming to be from Vodafone. A woman named Sarah, who had an accent that didn’t sound local, seemed to know loads about my bank stuff - like sort code, account number and even my usual bill amount. She was trying to tempt me with a cheaper deal and a Samsung Galaxy watch, but then asked for the long number on my bank card. I said no way, and she said they couldn’t proceed without it. Thankfully, they never called me again. Just a heads up, don’t ever agree to give out personal bank details over the phone!

My other half has fallen victim to a bunch of scammers, losing £130 in the process. These chaps were masquerading as Vodaphone representatives, claiming they were helping with new contracts. When we inquired about how to lodge a complaint and asked for the contact details of their manager, they were utterly uncooperative. All the evidence we gathered via WhatsApp clearly indicates their deceit. Absolutely infuriating, to say the least!

I got a phone call claiming to be from O2, saying they had some "good news" about my phone bill. They asked me to confirm some codes, but then I received what looked like a Microsoft message and that made me really wary. Also, I noticed these other numbers linked to the calls: 07756 499748 and 07739 484793. Just to be safe, I've updated my passwords for both O2 and my Outlook account.

Got a call from someone about saving some cash on my 02 deal, asked for my email so he could send a code or something. I just hung up on him. Then out of nowhere, he called again from a London number! The bloke had a bit of an Indian accent but was definitely trying hard to sound American, which was pretty amusing.

Appears to be a scam caller with a foreign accent, claiming to be from O2, offering a new phone and contract. Lots of noise on the line. When I asked whom to ask for when I contact O2, they simply said "yes", just ring this number. So, beware!

Got a call from someone with a strange accent claiming to be from O2, offering some new phone and contract deal. The line was really noisy and when I asked for a contact name at O2, he just replied “yeah, just call this number.” Feels like a scam to me, so watch out!

I received a phone call from someone purporting to be from O2, trying to entice me with a phone and a calling plan. The caller had a noticeable accent that wasn’t local, and the line was quite noisy, which set off alarm bells in my head-definitely felt like a dodgy call. When I mentioned that I would prefer to call O2 directly, he provided me with this number, but when I probed about who to ask for, he merely replied, "Just call this number back." Quite suspicious, if you ask me!
