The line was dreadful, and it soon became apparent they were trying to delve into details about our postcode and requested information about our meter. I wasn’t having any of it, especially as I had a similar experience with a different number just the week before - it was blatantly a scam. So, I terminated the call and got in touch with EON Next directly to clarify the situation. They informed me that they hadn’t made any calls to my business concerning our postcode or meter details. During today’s call from the 0131 number, as soon as I expressed my suspicion regarding its legitimacy, the caller promptly hung up. Clearly, this is a scam operation, likely run from an overseas call centre that seems to cycle through UK phone numbers to continue their deceit.
