9 yearsThis individual has confessed to engaging in hacking activities, so if you receive a call from him, it's crucial to hang up straight away. Do not entertain any requests from him or any other callers asking to access your computer or laptop. It's imperative that you ignore any guidance he might provide; he has the ability to monitor your movements and the longer you remain on the line, the more personal information he can siphon off your devices. Stay safe and protect your privacy!9 yearsReceived a call from them today - the classic Microsoft scam, of course. Isn’t it high time our government - and I use the term rather loosely - took some proper action against these pesky cold callers?Microsoft9 yearsI received a call earlier today - just another one of those typical Microsoft scams. Isn't it high time our government (and I use that term rather loosely!) took action against these pesky cold callers?Microsoft9 yearsI received a rather dubious phone call this morning, Saturday at half past eight, from someone with a distinctly foreign accent claiming to be from Microsoft. The caller, who identified himself as Kevin Marshall, insisted that there was a licence registered in my name and asked me to power up my computer to verify his claims. He quoted a number which he said belonged to me, but I couldn't help but wonder how I could trust that he was indeed from Microsoft. Kevin provided an ID number, ME2557, and requested I call him back at 0136180856 if I was inclined to discuss it further. He warned that failing to do so might lead to my licence being revoked, which sounded quite alarming. However, I think I shall seek some counsel before making any decisions. He urged me to act swiftly, mentioning something about hackers being active, as reported by the BBC. To cap it off, he even shared an address, Microsoft Thames Valley, R26 1WG. Quite the interesting encounter, I must say!MicrosoftKevin MarshallKevinBBCThames Valley9 yearsI had a chap named Jack ring me up, claiming he needed to access my computer for Microsoft. He had a very pronounced Indian accent and mentioned he was based in Reading.
