Somebody called asking if the business owner was available, but it felt like a scam to me.

A lady who said her name was Shirley rang me up with a pretty strong Indian accent, saying she was from 118. She started by telling me my name and some details about my work, but I told her I wasn’t interested and ended the call straight away. Not long after, I got another call from a different number, which I’m guessing was from the same place, so I just blocked it. These sorts of calls are such a nuisance and seem to be getting more frequent.

Got a call from some bloke saying he was from the 118 business directory. Total spammer alert! Seriously, steer clear of these dodgy callers, they’re just wasting your time.

I tried ringing them back from my landline, but the call just wouldn’t connect.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be ‘Fred from 118’ - sounded like it was from some call centre in India. He wanted to chat to anyone who could sort out money stuff. When I told him I couldn’t help with that, he just hung up on me. Felt pretty dodgy, like a scam if you ask me.
