Received a dodgy call on a Sunday. Best to avoid answering! Definitely block and make sure to report it! I’m relieved I double-checked to validate my hunch. Lately, I’ve been inundated with a handful of sketchy calls-around one or two weekly, so I figured it was time to flag this one!

Got a call from someone claiming to be IPSOS market research. Their English wasn’t great, which made me think they probably weren’t based in Edinburgh. When I asked where exactly they were calling from, they just said UK but wouldn’t say more. I also tried to find out what the survey was for and who had asked for it, but they refused to answer and just ended the call. Blocked the number straight away.

They kept ringing, like half a dozen times, but I never picked up. On the rare occasion I did, they just dropped the call straight away. So yeah, I’ve blocked the number now.
