It’s a bit of a postcode gamble really. The call was legit, I even answered an email after. They should really sort out that spam label thing.

I saw the number pop up and assumed it was just another spam call, so I didn’t pick up and ended up blocking it. Later, I got an email from the Postcode Lottery about something I’d asked them in an email the day before about an e-voucher. Didn’t know they were actually based in Scotland! Turns out it wasn’t some random cold call, but a proper follow-up in response to my message. I’ve since removed the block on the number.

I can assure you this isn't a trick! I received a missed voice message informing me that I’d struck it lucky in the postcode lottery. Shortly afterwards, I got an email too. Bit of a postcode lottery, got a follow-up call after I showed interest online. I told them I preferred to sign up through the website and wasn’t keen on discussing it over the phone. They were quite polite about it and just ended the call then.

Someone messaged me on Instagram claiming to be from Postcode Lottery, asking for all my personal info. I rang Postcode Lottery to check and told them what happened. They confirmed it’s a scam and warned me not to share any details. They only contact winners via email. Just be careful out there!

I just phoned the number and an automated message said I’d been contacted by someone from the postcode lottery who might ring me again soon. Since I’m not part of the PCL, I guess it’s a way to try and get me to join?

This lady from Scotland was so cheeky, called me thrice. She wanted 10 mins of my time but I said no as my husband is in the ICU on life support, so she should just bugger off. A bit later she rings again and I wasn't very nice this time. I've already reported her to the police and they got in touch with her, yet she kept insisting it was some kind of postcode lottery.

Got a call back from the Postcode Lottery after they hung up earlier. Their press 1 option says it’ll take you off their list but I’m not risking it, so I’ve just blocked the number on my phone too!

From what I’ve read before, this number seems linked to the postcode lottery. Like a lot of others, I checked it out just to see what it was about. At no point have I allowed them to get in touch or signed up since I wasn’t interested in their deal. I’ve blocked the number now after getting calls from them about 5 times.

I received a call today from someone who completely butchered my name. They then requested that I confirm my date of birth. I responded courteously, letting them know that I wasn’t comfortable sharing that information over the phone. To his credit, he was quite polite and mentioned I could always reach out to the Postcode Lottery directly if I wished to find out the purpose of the call. However, it’s a bit baffling that he didn’t already have my details on file, considering I’m signed up for the Postcode Lottery!

I've had calls three days in a row from a woman with a Scottish accent. She’s asking me for my bank details so she can switch my subscriptions to Direct Debit instead of taking payments straight from my card.
