Today I got a call where they quizzed me about my home for like 10 seconds before I told them to take my EX DIRECTORY number off their list. I’m curious to see if they actually do it. When I rang the number back, I ended up with a message from the full circle club - either way, they’re a proper nuisance!!

Luckily I wasn’t home when this number rang me at about 11 in the morning. I’m on the do not call list AND my number’s ex directory, so no idea how they managed to get hold of it. If they try again and I pick up, they’re in for a rude surprise.

Seems like a scam to me. Got a call from a man with a Glaswegian accent asking who lived at my address and wanting info about the house, supposedly to tell me about grants for energy efficient upgrades nearby. If it was legit, I’m sure they’d ask for me by name first - though, to be honest, even that doesn’t always guarantee they’re the real deal!

Some guy named Simon, probably from "First Home Solutions" or some fake company, rang me asking for info about the house and stuff. Typical cold call, which I reckon is against the law. I've reported them to the ICO. With the new GDPR rules, fingers crossed their manager gets busted soon.

Got a call from some folks claiming to be First Home Solutions, they started with "thanks for answering the phone" or something like that. I didn’t bother continuing, just ended the call. How come they’re still allowed to ring me when I’m on the TPS list? It’s quite frustrating.

Had a call about energy deals and they weren’t truthful at all. They said they were from Home Solutions, which reminded me of a call I got just yesterday from First Home Solutions. When I asked where they were located, they claimed Dundee and gave me a number: 01382 776824. Tried ringing it but just got a dead ring. Used 1471 to check the caller ID and it showed 0131 541 0134, which went to an answerphone for Full Circle Club. Honestly, the best thing to do is report these types of calls to the ICO. The more complaints they receive, the better chance we have at shutting these scams down. SCAM alert, from Forth Circle Club. What a load of rubbish! The call showed an Edinburgh STD code but must have been internet-based. A woman with a Scottish accent asked if I owned the house. When I asked for a reason, she started rambling about some government scrappage scheme. I played along but mentioned I live in council housing, then she just said sorry and ended the call. I rang back and got a posh voicemail with the same name mentioned here. Total scam, watch out!

TOTALLY A SCAM, FAKE AND FRAUD! They use some automated dialler that calls loads of people nonstop. Even if only a few fall for it out of hundreds called, they’re still racking in loads of cash. It’s absolutely illegal and a right pain in the neck. Try to block the number but if you can’t, definitely report it here. When I rang the number back, it’s some recorded voice from something like Forth Circle Group, telling you to press numbers to opt out. But honestly, all that does is just make them ring you more! So frustrating and feels like they’re just trying to rob us :( proper annoying, aren’t they?

SCAM alert. Got loads of calls from the same number, a woman with a Scottish accent. They use some kind of automated dialling system, so they keep ringing no matter what. Loads of calls from these lot. I use my answerphone to check who's calling first, but whenever they ring, they try to get into my answerphone from afar. Plus, they never leave any messages at all. Make sure you switch the default passcode on your phone or answerphone, otherwise they can get into your messages without permission, which is illegal obviously. I'm gonna report them now.

Got a call from a lady saying I qualify for a Windows deal, then suddenly switched me to a bloke who kept going on about discounts and whatnot. Asked for their number and they said 01382776824, but when I did a 1471 check it came up as 02315410134. Definitely feels like a scam to me.

Got a call from First Home Solutions and told them I’m on the TPS list. They insisted they weren’t cold calling and said that some numbers on the TPS list accidentally get through to them. Total nonsense! They were clearly trying to sell stuff about my windows, doors, and roof. Definitely a cold call, no question!

Got a call from a Scottish bloke claiming to be from First Home Solutions. Asked him why he was ringing when I’m on the TPS. He insisted they follow the rules, but when I asked for their number or address, he couldn’t give me either. Tried to carry on with his pitch, but I wasn’t having any of it. After hanging up, I did a 1471 and got the number 0131-541-0134. When I called back, an automated message from First Circle Club told me they’d called and if I didn’t want to hear from them again, to block my number in their system. Definitely sounds like a scam company to me.

They claimed to be from HMRC, with a very believable voice on the phone. The lady said there was a lawsuit being taken out against us and told me to press 1. It was left on our voicemail so I played it a few times, but they never said a name and “lawsuit” isn’t a term we really use here in Scotland, so I suspected it was dodgy. Still, it was a bit of a shock since we run a business.

Just got a call from Above Thermal Insulation, really impolite cold caller. I'm on the TPS so I asked where they got my number from - apparently a database. When I asked which database, she got really snappy and said "I just told you, a database" and then she ended the call. I'm definitely reporting this and you should too, maybe it'll help put a stop to this. Can't wait for GDPR to kick in on May 25th.

One of my family members lives in Edinburgh, so when I saw a weird Edinburgh number on my caller ID, I gave it a ring. It went to the answering machine for something called the ‘Full Circle Club.’ They said you could leave your phone number to not be called back, but their system couldn’t recognise some of the digits I gave. I searched for ‘Full Circle Club’ online and found it’s a dodgy pop-up R&B event club in Edinburgh. Feels like some kind of scam, maybe a cold call trying to sell something. Best to ignore it!
