I got in touch with Virgin, and they were pretty good about it, refunding the amount straight away. The person on the line sounded like she was from the Philippines and gave me an employee ID, telling me to ring 150, which I know is Virgin Media's customer helpline for their phone services. When I called, the staff said that number didn't match any employee and they were unaware of the calls, so it’s definitely a scam.
