Absolutely nothing but spam, waste of time!

Today, I saw I had a missed call from this number. Since it was local, I decided to ring back. They claimed to be working for EE and offered a cheaper plan because my contract was nearly up. When I asked them about my phone model, they couldn’t answer. I pointed out they should have all my info, including who holds the account, but they got flustered, quickly ended the call, and said goodbye.

I reckon that number 02zzzz is linked to some sort of dodgy information harvesting scheme, if you ask me. Feels a bit off, to say the least!

Got a call claiming to be from O2 offering to cut my bill. They couldn’t even get my correct address straight or the phone model I have, which was a bit odd. Still, they sounded quite persuasive about lowering my monthly charges. When they asked for my bank info, I told them I'd prefer sorting it out in-store instead of on the phone. They insisted that wasn’t possible in the shop. That’s when I ended the call and later rang O2 myself - turned out it was a complete scam!

I got a call from someone claiming to be with EE about an upgrade. Weird thing is, they didn’t know what phone I had or any of the usual details. I was polite at first, but when a ‘manager’ came on, he got really hostile after I asked for something in writing to the address they had. I told him I wouldn’t commit to anything from a cold call. He said they were based in Fareham, near Portsmouth, but when I questioned the number they called from, he just got even more rude. Quite a dodgy experience.

Got a ring from this number claiming to be EE, saying I was eligible for an upgrade with some kind of business discount. They then went on to ask what phones I used and my numbers, which seemed odd because surely they’d have that info already. Pretty clear scam to me, so don’t share anything with them!
