A total load of nonsense, if you ask me!

Today, I found myself on the receiving end of a missed call from this number. Curiosity got the better of me, so I decided to ring them back since it was a local call. They introduced themselves as representatives from EE, claiming they could provide me with a more favourable tariff, as my contract was nearing its end. However, when they couldn’t even verify the make of my phone, I pointed out that they ought to have access to that information along with who holds the account. At that point, they seemed rather flustered, hastily wished me well and abruptly ended the call. Quite the strange encounter, wouldn’t you say?

I reckon that number 02zzzz is linked to some sort of dodgy information harvesting scheme, if you ask me. Feels a bit off, to say the least!

I got a phone call purporting to be from O2, claiming they could lower my monthly bill. However, they didn't have my correct address or details about my phone, which raised my suspicions. Despite that, they were quite persuasive about cutting my costs. They then requested my bank information, but I insisted that I preferred to sort this out in-store rather than over the phone. To my surprise, they insisted that this wasn’t possible in a shop. At that point, I decided to hang up and contacted O2 directly. Sure enough, it was a complete scam!

I received a call from a chap claiming to represent EE, informing me that I was eligible for an upgrade. Oddly enough, they seemed clueless about the make and model of my device, as well as other pertinent details. I tried to be courteous at first, but things took a turn when a so-called 'manager' joined the conversation. He became rather hostile when I requested that he send me something via post to the address he had on file, as I’m not one to engage with cold callers. Upon questioning the number he was using, he insisted they were based in Farnham, near Portsmouth, and his defensiveness only escalated. Quite the experience, to say the least!

I had a rather puzzling call from this number claiming to be from EE, suggesting that I was eligible for an upgrade and could take advantage of a business discount. Curiously, they began inquiring about the phones I currently own and my phone numbers. It's quite baffling since they ought to have access to that information themselves. It's clear this is a scam, so best to steer clear and not divulge any personal details.
