Received a rather unexpected call earlier. As soon as I realised it was from an Edinburgh area code, I didn't stress too much; I do know a few chaps from there. Thankfully, my mobile device had the sense to flag it as “Potential Spam” while I was still deliberating, ultimately terminating the call all by itself. What a ghastly lot, these despicable scammers trying to con innocent folks every single day!

I received a rather unsettling call from this number earlier, and to my surprise, the woman on the other end seemed to know my entire name. She attempted to persuade me into reviewing my life insurance policy, which I firmly declined. However, she wouldn’t let up and kept probing for specifics about my current policy. Feeling a bit uneasy, I decided to block the number. Curiously enough, just two days later, I was contacted by another number that looked quite similar (01315104034). This time, it was a man asking me the same questions. Quite the coincidence, I must say!

They’d put some bogus insurance quotes online using names like Legal and General and bemoneysavvy to make it look legit. After that, I started getting emails as if it was genuine, but I’m certain it’s a scam. The info they had about me was outdated too.

I tell you, this chap was relentless! He just wouldn’t accept my rejection. His main aim was to chat about life insurance options. He insisted on going over my existing policy and was practically begging me to transfer to his agency. I had to turn him down, but he just kept ringing me over and over.
